Engaging with these communities in their space requires an authentic voice. It means prioritising authenticity and genuine community engagement over mass-reach advertising.
At the same time, Gen AI is everywhere. Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence that creates new content, such as text, images, and video, by learning patterns from existing data and producing outputs that mimic those patterns. Gen AI is giving us all tools to easily mass-produce high-quality content, but it lacks the agency to shape meaning, dialogue, and context the way artists can. It can’t replace the nuance, authenticity and cultural integrity that human artists bring.
Authentic creativity involves context, intent, creative intuition and deep conceptual understanding. All that creative magic. To cut through the noise and stay culturally relevant, we need to keep making unique work and telling real stories.
